Strong Legs

How good is your self image of your feet?

How much of your feet can you feel? Close your eyes, choose a foot, and sense each toe in turn. What happens in the middle? You can probably easily feel your big toe, and the 2nd. Often then it gets a little hazy. Right?
That 3rd toe doesn’t necessarily have the same clarity as the big one. Similarly from the other side. You can probably feel your little toe, and the 4th toe. For many that’s a little less clear.
But then what? If your 3rd toe isn’t clear in your head. it’s not clear in your movement. If you don’t have 5 clear toes, you’re not going to use your feet as well as if you do. The toes are a massive part of balance. You need 5 toes, not 4 to balance in an optimal way. And if it’s hazy in the first foot you chose, what about the other one?

So what can you do if you don’t feel them all clearly?

In tomorrow’s lesson you’ll be learning to feel all your toes with more clarity. And to feel connections from your toes throughout your whole self. And whilst that might sound simple, if you can only feel 4 toes clearly right now, it’s going to be a lesson that will make a difference.

Measuring Change

We need to have something to measure. In this learning process, scans are an incredibly useful tool. Over time, you learn to remember what it was like before, and what it’s like now. In that noticing of changes is the kinaesthetic learning. It’s not like other learning: where it’s about facts or skills of doing.
It’s more like a skill of being, of sensing yourself with more ease in three dimensional space. Adding more pixels to the three dimensional picture of yourself, so you can see yourself with greater clarity.
