Half Term – International Feldenkrais Federation Conference

This week is half term. I’m attending the International Feldenkrais Federation conference in Germany this week, as the UK representative.

It’s a usually a really interesting conference, with representatives from all the countries who have official Feldenkrais Method Guilds. It’s an opportunity to share how different countries meet the same challenges and questions, as well as to support research – there’s a Feldenkrais Research Journal, which is funded by the IFF. Worth it for that alone. It also looks after some of the resources that Moshe Feldenkrais’s family left the community after his death in 1984. I’ll be presenting a topic on bringing Feldenkrais into the CHNC – the FGUK is currently working on bringing Feldenkrais into the complimentary umbrella of the NHS – which I’ve been helping with.

I’ll report back with news on how it all went next week!
