Your thigh bone’s connected to your…

One person who joined my class last week shared her surprised that she experienced  relief in her back when she felt her feet and ankles freeing up. Her walking felt freer and lighter. I love it when my students and clients feel the connections for themselves!

Who would have thought that improving the suppleness of the feet and ankles can improve back pain? But of course, everything is connected! (I’ve been saying that for some time now!) We don’t need mechanical fixing of parts, but to improve our whole body connections. To improve a relationship with your body, yourself.

In order to improve our connections, we need to feel them. To sense, to improve our awareness of how we’re moving. Improving the connections in our nervous system will improve your quality of movement, ease and comfort in your body. But we do have to do something to learn this.

Whatever tension you suffer from, whether jaw pain, back pain, you need to take action to make positive changes for yourself. You need to improve the whole system of yourself. Which first means connecting with your body physically, so you can sense yourself, your body and movement from the inside.

This week’s lessons will be looking at the connections between the pelvis and the jaw. Come and join us if having more comfort in your movement is something you’ve been thinking about. It’s much easier to do it with others!
